Well...c'est ALMOST parti. I've been packing for the past couple days and have turned my pack into the incredible hulk...with strapped on running shoes. Dad made some room in his bag for my Malt-o-Meal and Mom is just finishing the hem on my jeans...

Sarah left for Russia this morning and tomorrow is my turn! We're hitching a ride from my Aunt Deb to the airport and we should be into Paris by lunchtime the next day. Dad and I have big plans for steak tartar and hopefully some wine...

I have FINALLY succeeded in creating a blog. This is harder than it looks. I know that some people are html saavy but changing the image, adding music and a tagbox, and generally figuring out how to put the template on the blog feels like an acheivement. Please enjoy. Now for some info about my trip!

• leaving Sept 1st with Dad for Paris
• Quick stop to Dublin for a pub crawl and tour of the Guinness factory
• Off to Rennes to see Guillaume and his mom
• Hopefully we will see some of the sites: St. Malo, the Mont Saint Michel, Quimper...whatever we want!

Then dad is heading back to the US on the 13th and I will hopefully start getting myself organized for teaching at an elementary and a middle school in Rennes and for taking some night classes at the University.

I'm so excited to be going back to France and get my french on. More updates to come on how my trip pans out!
